AMFM Post-Incident Support & Debrief is intended as a workplace wellness, psychoeducational and supportive service. It is not intended to provide individual psychotherapy, counselling, diagnosis, psychological assessment or treatment of a mental-health condition.
Participation in a debrief does not establish an individual psychotherapy relationship with the facilitator.
Where a participant may benefit from individualized assessment, counselling, psychotherapy, medical care or crisis support, the facilitator will encourage connection with an appropriate service or professional.
Participants are encouraged to respect the privacy of others and are never required to disclose personal experiences or details of the workplace event.
AMFM does not routinely provide employers with information about individual participant disclosures. Where an organizational summary is requested, information may include general themes, resources provided and organizational recommendations without identifying individual participants.
Privacy and its limitations are reviewed at the beginning of the session.
This service may be appropriate following a critical or distressing workplace event, death or loss, exposure to difficult circumstances, workplace violence or aggression, challenging emergency response, significant organizational event, or another experience that has had an emotional impact on a team.
The goal is not to make employees relive the event. It is to help people understand what they may be experiencing, identify what may help next, and know where to turn if they need additional support.
Support before, during and after difficult moments.
Practical tools for real life.
